We are working on four large commercial roof projects, one in AZ, the rest in CA. Considering the span capacities of the SIPs, the engineer was able to remove many of the beams originally designed to support the roof. We can use large panels, 8’ wide by 24’ long, that will cover a significant area after setting each one in place. Because of the use of SIPs on these projects, the roofs will be complete ahead of schedule, and the owner will save money due to the removal of many of the beams that were originally specified.

2017 ended up being a momentous year for Premier SIPs IND. Construction spending and starts are expected to remain strong in 2018, especially residential construction, single family construction being the main driver. We had a strong January as we estimated over 1.6 million dollars’ worth of SIPs on over 30 new construction projects, already securing orders on many of them.

Just supplied panels for another addition in California. Additions built with SIPs can be erected quickly, saving time and money. And when the Addition is finished it will be more comfortable, energy-efficient, and much quieter than a conventionally built addition. We worked on a project in Las Vegas that includes (7) – 6 plex apartment buildings (42 units), and one clubhouse. The Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) were delivered at the end of February and construction of all eight buildings is underway.

Just supplied Structural Insulated Panels for use on a horse barn/stable in Los Olivos, CA. Energy Efficiency

Being energy efficient means doing the same amount of work while using less energy. Energy efficiency can be achieved in a variety of ways. Your building or home can be updated or designed to take advantage of natural resources and minimize energy waste. By building with SIPs you will be reducing the need to use electric or gas-fed heat. Unlike traditional framing methods, which have a tremendous amount of thermal bridging, SIPs are continually insulated walls that feature a great deal more heat resistance and less air infiltration. SIPs are also manufactured under controlled factory conditions where waste can be greatly reduced.

We worked with Premier SIPs to help staff and sponsor the Structural Insulated Panel Association (SIPA) booth at the 2015 NAHB International Builders’ Show (IBS). The show took place last week, the 20th through the 22nd, and the theme was All Homes Start Here. IBS is the nation’s largest annual residential housing construction trade event for manufacturers and suppliers of home construction products and services. In a sure signal of an improving construction market, we met many great people from all over the world.
