- Grows quickly
- Reproduces from seed AND rhizomes
- Likely allelopahtic

Features
- wide leaf, white midrib
- large, triangular seedhead

CONTROL OPTIONS
Grazing
- Grazing over 2 or more years depletes rhizome reserves
- CAUTION: Toxic under certian conditions (rain following drought, frost, early growth)
- Safest after 18" tall but before seedling emerges

Herbicide
- Spot or wick applications can reduce non-target plant mortality
- Treat after 18" tall but before seedheads emerge
- Chemical Options
-Sulfosulfron
-Imazapic

Mowing
- Repeated mowing inhibits growth
- Best to follow up with herbicide

Fire
- Can increase growth, especially dormant season fire
