🍂❄️ Fall is here, and winter is on its way. Is your rig ready?

We've been winterizing pumps around the shop for the past couple of weeks, and it's a good reminder for drillers everywhere: if the temperatures haven't dropped where you are yet, they will.

When you're drilling through the colder months, winterizing your pumps isn't a one-and-done task. It's part of your daily shutdown routine.

Water left in pumps, hoses, and valves can freeze and expand, damaging components and setting you up for costly downtime.

Before you call it a day:
🔧 Drain water from pumps, lines, hoses, and valves.
💧 Flush the system as required to clear residual water.
🛡️ Protect components using the appropriate winterization products and procedures for your equipment.
⚙️ Inspect seals, fittings, and connections for leaks or signs of wear before the next shift.

A little preparation now can save you a much bigger headache when the temperatures really start to drop.

ICYMI: We had a little grouting muscle in Nashville. 👀

The 2026 ChemGrout CG-550 Geotech Series made the trip to NDA Drill Expo, and this compact setup is built to get to work.

Honda GX 630. GR6.5 Geotech Head. Direct Push Hammer. 150-gallon tank. Moyno 3L6 assembly. Mixer/agitator. 50' of hose.
