Before and after! This happy customer called because she wanted steps and railings that matched her late 1800s home. After removing the pressure treated 2x12 steps,we replaced the stingers so all the steps were the same size. We then installed bullnose treads and exterior rated primed risers. We custom made top and bottom rails to match the existing railing detail. While waiting to have custom spindles made to match we applied two coats of paint to everything. Once the spindles came in we installed the railings. In the spring we will be returning to prep and paint the entire deck. Give us a call with all your renovation/restoration needs!

We love old homes. They have so much character and always feel inviting! This return customer called us with a big list of projects to tackle and one of them was redoing the floor in the main entrance. After years of high foot traffic these mid 1800s floor boards needed some love. After removing the old finish, we fixed some failed repairs using old school methods and applied multiple coats of a high strength varnish. Now the main entry is inviting once again. Check out the before and after pictures.

It’s been a while since our last post but we’ve been really busy renovating homes all over the Hudson valley. Here’s a project that’s a little different than usual. This barn was far beyond saving and was extremely unsafe. This customer contacted us to have it taken down safely and hauled away. Any usable material was salvaged to be used on other buildings on the property. A huge shoutout to for being on call and very quick with dumpster exchanges. They’re a fantastic company to work with and I highly recommend them.

Another happy customer! After dealing with tons of rainy days and a backorder of materials this deck update turned out amazing. After removing the rotten decking and railings we discovered some compromised framing. Once we were done with any necessary repairs, we installed this beautiful rope swing composite decking and railing system. This deck will live on to make a lifetime of new memories!

There’s no such thing as a job too small! We were able to squeeze this job into our busy schedule and make another customer very happy. We removed a outdated, broken bifold door and turned it into two independent doors for a pantry. The doors broke a while ago and have made going into the pantry a very difficult task. Contact us for your next project, no matter the size!

Another happy customer and another job in the books. This 12’x17’ screen porch was a fun project and a huge improvement over the previous 5x5 structure that was ready to fall off the house. Once the pressure treated material dries, the homeowner will paint the porch to match the house. But In the meantime it’s time to set up the patio furniture and enjoy the bug free outdoors! Swipe to see where we started.

While dodging rain drops and dealing with the intense heat we’re still making progress on this 12x17 screen porch. The old 5x5 entryway has been demolished and hauled away only to be replaced by a more usable area. The next steps are completing the roof, building the railings and the fabrication and installation of the steps.

Coming soon! This customer contacted us asking what she could do about this 5x5 entry way that’s fallen into disrepair. After going over some ideas we came up with the plan to remove the entry way completely and build a 12x17 covered screen porch. It will still give her the covered entrance while also giving her so much more useable space!
