3Ten Surveying is proud to announce their asset acquisition of MLS & Associates in Sioux City, IA. MLS and its predecessors are the oldest continually operated Survey firm in the area if not the entire Upper Midwest with over 116 years of Surveying and Design experience dating back to 1908!
MLS and its predecessors have a rich history being the lead Surveyor on many projects that Siouxland natives will recognize: Dakota Dunes, Whispering Creek, Stoneridge, Gateway, Inc.'s facilities in North Sioux City, the Terra Centre and City Hall in Sioux City, as well as the construction of the Tyson Events Center and Siouxland Ethanol in Jackson, NE and many commercial buildings, hospitals, schools and other subdivisions.
Douglas Mordhorst, the owner of MLS will remain on with 3Ten Surveying for years to come. Doug has spent his entire life surveying in the area and has 54 years of mastering his profession! We look forward to having Doug as a mentor and source of knowledge for future projects.
There have been a long line of expert Surveyors that came before Doug that we will honor on our future website update. Some of those great surveyors you might know or have read about such as Ronald Schieuer, Robert Force, Birney C. Wooley, Charles M. Finley and Rudy Rath who some would remember from Finley & Rath who were the originators of this firm. Many Surveyors, Engineers and Real Estate professionals still use the Finley & Rath book as a guide to what was mapped over the entire Sioux City metro area before the invention of GIS.
3Ten Surveying will add the current MLS office space at 515 7th Street in downtown Sioux City to their office locations.
Thank you Doug for trusting 3Ten to carry on what you and others have worked so hard to build. We look forward to servicing your clients and being the first choice Land Surveyors here in Siouxland and all across Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota
Boundary Surveys, ALTA / NSPS Land Title Surveys, Topographic Surveys, Construction Staking, Mortgage Loan Certificate, Flood Certificate / LOMA, and Tower and Utility Surveys.
