Labor Day is behind us, which means fall is right around the corner.

Now is a good time to start getting your yard ready for the change in season. A few things you can tackle yourself:

• Rake and remove leaves
• Trim back overgrown plants
• Clean out garden beds
• Keep mowing as needed
• Check drainage around your property
• Put away those summer items

Looks like Mother Nature has the watering covered this week!

With rain in the forecast all week, here’s a little reminder from our family to yours: give the yard a little break.

We know it’s tempting to get outside and knock out those mowing and cleanup projects, especially when you finally have a minute to get ahead. But when the ground is this wet, it’s best to let things dry out a bit.

Mowing, walking all over the lawn, or running equipment across soggy soil can compact the ground and leave your lawn with more problems than you started with.

So this week, let the rain do the work. Take a day off from the yard, enjoy a slower morning, and let everything soak it in… and then call us 😉

There will always be grass to mow and projects to finish. Sometimes a little patience is the best thing you can give your landscape.
