Remember it's not the frozen pipes that make the huge mess...
It's the once frozen now thawed burst pipe that does all the damage.
So remeber if ever you have no water at a location and figure it must have froze to look over every inch of pipe possible looking for an impregnated section that's fractured.
Also a water line that freezes everyonce in a while if left to drip just a little durring those cold as heck times will likely not freeze due to the constant exchange of new warmer water.
