'Twas the night before mowing, and all through the yard,
The weeds were all growing—man, life was real hard.
The grass was tall; the clover was thick,
The neighbors were staring and judging quick.
When out on the curb, there arose such a roar,
I tripped as I ran to the door.
With a flash of bright yellow and blades spinning fast,
I knew that my "jungle" was seeing its last.
More rapid than rabbits, the pro made his style,
With stripes so straight, you could see 'em a mile!
As he finished the mow, he yelled out loud: “That’s Doyle Lawn and Plow—your yard’s lookin' proud!”
