At Core Construction, we call it the one team approach. It means that from the moment a project kicks off, every person involved, our team, the client, subcontractors, suppliers, is working toward the same outcome. Not just their piece of it.

When you collect bids for a commercial project, the lowest number is the easiest one to say yes to. It is also the one most likely to cost you more in the end.

A low bid usually means something got left out, whether it is part of the scope, a code requirement, or an allowance set too low to be real. That gap does not disappear. It shows up later as a change order, and by then you have little leverage and no easy alternative.

The better way to compare bids is to look at what each one actually includes, line for line, and to ask why one is meaningfully lower than the rest.

A contractor who walks you through that honestly is showing you how they will treat you for the whole project. We would rather give you a real number up front than a low one that grows.

Twenty years ago, we made it official. 🏗️

In January 2006, Core Construction filed as a commercial general contractor in Nebraska. A lot has happened since then. Markets shifted, projects grew, the team evolved. But the core of what we do has stayed the same.

Show up. Do the work. Take care of the people who trust you with their space.

We're coming up on a big milestone and we're not going to let it pass quietly. Something is coming, and if you've been following along, you already know we're just getting started on social media. Stay tuned.

There is a certain moment on a project when it stops looking like a job site and starts looking like a business. For this one, it was the night the sign lit up.

This is the new home of Hello Garage of Omaha, a locally owned company known for transforming garages with durable floor coatings and custom storage, and we have had the privilege of building their new space.

The sign is up and lit and the exterior is coming together. The inside is close behind, and in a couple of weeks we will be back to reveal the floor design and the finishes, which we think you are going to love. Projects like this are a good reminder of why we do this work.

A local business gets a real home, and the people who run it get to watch months of planning turn into something they can finally stand in front of.
