HUMP DAY! 💪 And hopefully that means we’re officially headed downhill from here… because this week has been CRAZY. 😂

From super early start times to late nights, the crew has been putting in the hours and keeping the wheels turning.

We’re beyond grateful for all the new customers who have trusted us with their projects—especially Richie and Erin, who reached out and gave us the opportunity to knock out two driveways and a patio for them this week. That’s a whole lot of concrete and a whole lot of trust!

We’re also fortunate to get the opportunity to work alongside repeat customers and great people like Ross Ware, Jeff Kiess, and Elkins High School.

And a BIG shoutout to those guys for all the work happening behind the scenes to help bring the Elkins High School bathroom project to fruition. There’s a lot that goes into a project before we ever pour a yard of concrete, and we appreciate everyone putting in the work to make it happen.

Crazy week, tired crew, but we’re getting it done. Now let’s see if the second half of the week really is downhill! 🤞😂

Big things continue to happen in Tiger Country! 🐅

We closed out the first week of school and made some serious progress on the new bathroom project at Elkins High School.

With all the plumbing inside wrapped up, floor drains installed, and the water line stubbed in, it made it easy for us to get in there and start prepping the floor for concrete.

One step at a time, we’re getting this project ready for the next phase. Pretty cool to be able to see a project like this come together from literally the ground up..

Stayed tuned. More to come! 💪🐅

Two-fer Tuesday!

Once the rain finally pushed out, we jumped on the first one of the day — a driveway project that we opened up on Monday — and got after it. The rain has been a pain lately, but we keep finding ways to work around it and keep things moving.

Job #1 got knocked out, and then it was on to #2 — a set of sidewalks and a carport remove and replace. Out with the old and getting things ready for a fresh start.

We also had a really thoughtful surprise today that made the day a little better. Huge shoutout to Carter and his mom for stopping by while we were dumping out the second load. They were kind enough to bring us waters and lemonades — something that goes a long way on a long day like today. Carter, we’ll be sure to save you a spot when you get to high school.

Two jobs, one day, and another day of making the most of what Mother Nature throws at us. On to the next one!

This week came in swinging — and Mother Nature didn’t make it easy.

Another week in the books, and this one had a little bit of everything.

Mother Nature tried her best to ruin our plans Monday and Tuesday — multiple times. But thankfully, I’ve got some great men beside me who know how to adapt. We took what most people would consider a catastrophe and turned it into patios and steps. Sometimes you just have to make the best of what you’re given and keep moving.

Progress continues at Elkins High School! The block walls are up at the new bathroom facility and the plumbing is well on its way. Next up… concrete floor! It’s been pretty cool getting to be a part of improving a place that means so much to our community.

We also had the opportunity to tackle this beautiful new construction build down on the river. Just when I thought they forgot about us, we got the call! We knocked out a beautiful radiant heat floor and wrapped this home with colored and stamped porches.

We also got to break in our Deco-Crete Empire Slate stamps on this one, along with 180’ of live-edge liners from Deco-Crete as well. Safe to say, this one is going to make a statement when it’s all finished.

A busy week, a few curveballs, and a whole lot of work — but that’s just another week in books. Shout out to the suppliers this week! 60 cubic yards, traveling 1.5hrs to get us material. Great communication, fantastic material and just flat out my kind of people.

Good end of the week push with the boys!

Phase 1 came and went, and what a start to this project.

We got the retaining wall knocked out using Vera-Loc Flagstone Blend with charcoal caps. There was a lot of hard work, planning, and logistics that went into getting this phase across the finish line.

Jobs like this — and honestly, jobs in general — don’t happen because of one company. It takes a whole network of small businesses and good people working together to keep the machine moving.

A huge shoutout to Twin A Equipment Repair. These guys keep countless machines rolling across numerous counties, and they even spent part of their Sunday out here helping us diagnose a problem so we could stay on schedule. That’s the kind of service you don’t forget.

Another shoutout to Harris Electrical for fitting us into their schedule on a moment’s notice when we needed a hand.

And Phase 1 wouldn’t have gone down nearly as smooth without the fellas and friends at Material & Labor Solutions. They put in plenty of hours alongside us on this one, rain or shine, and helped keep things moving when we needed it.

A big thank you as well to Jeff and Katrina for trusting Material & Labor Solutions and Simon Concrete Solutions with their project. That kind of trust means a lot, and it’s what allows us to bring projects like this to life the right way.

At the end of the day, it’s always a team effort — no matter whose shirt you’re wearing.

Phase 1 is in the books. On to the next phase: pool coping, colored and stamped borders, and a colored and stamped pool deck.

Monday was a big day in Tiger Country. 🐅

While two-a-day practices officially kicked off, we were breaking ground on a new bathroom project at our alma mater, Elkins High School.

We got the footers dug, poured, and ready for the next step. It’s an honor to have the opportunity to give back to the school and community that helped shape us.

We’re proud to be part of a project that will serve future generations of Tigers.

Here’s to building something that lasts—both on the field and off.

New construction, new driveway, and a job well done

We recently wrapped up a driveway for a new build, along with the porch and garage to tie everything together. Big shoutout to Chris at Kiess Excavating for laying the groundwork and setting us up for success.

Even with Mother Nature trying to slow us down, we pushed through and delivered a clean, durable finish for Mrs. Brenda’s new home.

Thank you for trusting Simon Concrete Solutions with your project—we appreciate the opportunity!
