A little update on the new construction home. We started on 5/19 with a lot full of stumps . By the end of the day on 5/22 the house was ready to form for concrete. By the end of the day on 5/24 the garage was ready to form and the wrap around driveway was nearly complete. While the big machine was still on site I moved some huge boulders for decorating and put most of the crushed stone backfill in for the house slab.now we wait a few weeks until the walls are poured, so that we can come back and backfill so the concrete guys can pour the floor. 💪

A little progress update on the new construction home site. Lot is fully cleared, the hole is dug for the basement and I have begun moving the excavated soil around site. This was a very steep and uneven lot, finally getting some of the holes filled in and getting it leveled off somewhat so you can drive around. Garage foundation to be excavated next as well as more improvement to the driveway

Did I mention that we replace water lines. This Job looked strait forward when we showed up. It wasn't quite that simple. Apparently keene valley should have been a gravel pit because it was all bony gravel. Had to get really creative on the dig and backfill as room was really limited. Sand was put around the pipe to protect it. This turned into a 14 hour day in 90 degree heat 🥵. Finished in one day and on to the next.

Another water line installed. Another well gone dry last year. This customer had access to town water, so we ran them a new service. I didn't get any pictures of the stones on this one. Could have filled a tandem dump truck with all the stones I hit in this one. A local stopped in and said there was an old house with stacked stone crawl space In the area I had to dig. This Job required sand backfill is was so rocky I didn't want to damage the new line.

We did a lot of water line replacements in 2025. This customers natural spring went dry with the drought last year. They had municipal water on the property. First leg was 92 feet from the house to the street. The Customer wanted us to use old plumbing from the house to the horse barn. After almost 2 days of chasing problems with the old system we had to run a new line from the house to the horse barn. 250 feet of trench plus digging under barn foundation, and jackhammering concrete.💪 Quite the job to say the least. Dave the plumber and stark's economy for the win.

This call started out with a sinkhole in the driveway and ended up with a culvert replacement. The old metal culvert looked like Swiss cheese when I cleaned the dirt off from it. I had to saw cut the asphalt to keep the rest of the driveway intact. Biggest challenge on this Job was working on a very busy road in the town of plattsburgh and having the gas main only a few feet away!
