Quality Matters: Fixing a Costly Flooring Mistake

In a hurry to get the job done, our client hired a flooring contractor without doing much research, opting for someone outside the local area instead of choosing a well-known professional with a strong reputation. They paid 50% of the labor cost upfront—a substantial $10,000 investment—expecting high-quality results. Unfortunately, the workmanship did not match the price.

Despite charging rates comparable to top professionals, the contractor’s lack of attention to detail led to a major issue—he nailed directly into a water pipe, causing a serious leak. At that point, we were called in to assess and resolve the situation.
