Equipment Mechanic

Compensation: $28 to $36 an hour DOE

Qualifications:
• proven experience as a Equipment Mechanic (certifications advantageous)
• Valid (clean) Driver’s License with no restrictions (CDL Preferred)
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Must be able to communicate, read, and write in English proficiently
•Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics and repair techniques
•Familiarity with a variety of heavy machinery and farm equipment
•Understanding of OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications and guidelines
•Ability to operate heavy equipment for testing purposes or to assist with repairs
•Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
•Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members
Responsibilities:
•As a Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing various types of heavy equipment
•This includes performing maintenance and repairs on equipment such as excavator, dozers and trucks
•Inspect heavy equipment to identify mechanical issues and perform diagnostic tests
•Repair and replace faulty components, such as hydraulics, brakes, electrical components, and service and wear parts
•Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, preventative maintenance, and regular greasing and servicing of machinery
•Assemble and disassemble heavy equipment as needed
•Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards
•Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed
•Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems
•Operate power tools and specialized equipment to complete repairs
