Kiescraft Woodworking Custom woodwork in North Georgia. Welcome to Kiescraft Woodworking! Like most carpenters/woodworkers, I started out building small projects. I enjoyed it.

For me it was shelves and a coffee table made of pallet wood. Then as a new homeowner the projects started to pile up and become more in-depth. I built closet organizers, a chicken coop, a two story playhouse for the kids, loft beds and a deck for the backyard. By that time I had started to develop my craft without even realizing it. I was able to look at something and figure out how it was built

and how to build it myself. Fast forward 15 years and woodworking has almost become a second nature. Being inspired by new projects forces me to learn new techniques. And that is what keeps me going. That, and seeing raw material transform into a finished product and being able to say “I made that”.

These pictures don't do justice. This custom built in Murphy bed was made with circle sawn lumber making it truly one of a kind! Live edge storage cabinets with open shelving on each side with flush mount outlets. Faux cabinets in the middle concealing the verticle Murphy bed with overhead LED lighting.

Huge thanks to my repeat clients for their trust and confidence in my work! I selected a spalted maple slab to match their river table and made a kennel/console for their living area. I filled a few voids with a clear epoxy and added an iron cremone latch to keep those fur babies in!

This was an awesome project! The client found a beautiful spalted maple river top and needed it made into a kitchen island. I designed the island and used solid maple to accent the live-edge top. Since ample storage was a requirement, I added four large cabinets and drawers with soft-close doors on one side and a recessed space on the opposite side for seating. The island was finished with faux doors on the ends, leaving space for outlet installation.

I handpicked some really nice knotty alder for this barn door, and I love how it came out. Also made some cabinets for the laundry room and replaced a very uneven front entryway with a craftsman-style archway.

Custom-designed upper cabinets, range hood, and kitchen island. Resurfaced lower cabinets and matched doors/drawers.

This was a great project! I was given a few images and measurements, and the results were pretty spot-on! This was made intirely with red oak and has iron locking rods. It received a pre aging treatment and greywash stain. Turned out great!!
