Sweet and sophisticated, this Jack & Jill (or shall we say Jill & Jill?) bathroom was designed with our clients’ little girls in mind. Soft pink wallpaper, classic marble-look tile, and a timeless gray vanity come together to create a space that feels both playful and elegant.

To hire a designer or not to hire a designer? And is it worth the investment?

This is one of the big questions when building your new custom home, and it’s one you should decide on while still in the early architectural planning stages!

Although the selection process is fun and exciting, it can also be quite daunting and time consuming.

So, if you are working full time in the office and/or are carting children around from activity to activity from dawn to dusk, we highly encourage you to hire an interior designer for your project. This has nothing to do with your style abilities and everything to do with your time and how enjoyable the build will be for you! There is A LOT that goes into a new construction home! Especially in this case, hiring a designer is well worth the investment.

That being said, if you love interior design and have the time to devote to all of the selections, have fun and go for it!! It is a very exciting and rewarding labor of love. And as your builder, we are available as a sounding board and guide throughout the process.

So, whether you hire a designer or interior design is your hobby and you want to do it all, we are happy to work with you. As your builder, we provide design ideas and insight along the way. However, we still encourage you to consider working with a designer. We can work with external designers, or Shelly can be hired to curate selection options for you - ad hoc or for the entire project!
