It's been a rough stretch for Northeast Ohio. Between last week's storms and more rain and thunderstorms rolling through this week, a lot of homes in the Greater Cleveland area are taking a beating.

We've been out running inspections all week and we're doing everything we can to get to as many homeowners as possible. If you're seeing anything that doesn't look right — missing shingles, water stains in your attic, gutters pulling away, siding that's cracked or loose — give us a call. We'll come take a look, no charge.

Here we go again!

⛈️ SEVERE STORMS HEADED OUR WAY TONIGHT — HERE'S HOW TO PREPARE

Northern Ohio is under a severe storm threat tonight with high winds, hail, and heavy rain expected to move through the Greater Cleveland area late this evening. Here are a few things you can do right now to protect your home:

🏠 BEFORE THE STORM:
✅ Secure or bring in any loose outdoor items — patio furniture, trash cans, decorations
✅ Check that your sump pump is working
✅ Move vehicles into the garage, if possible, to avoid hail/falling limb damage
✅ Charge your devices and have flashlights ready

After the storm passes, take a walk around your property (when it's SAFE) and look for:
🔍 Missing or damaged shingles
🔍 Dented gutters or downspouts
🔍 Cracked or loose siding
🔍 Debris in your yard or on your roof

‼️High Wind Warning in effect today from 8am-8pm: Steady winds up to 50MPH with gusts 60MPH+ possible this afternoon‼️
These winds mean that there's a possibility of damage to your home in the form of missing shingles, siding, and debris impact 😕

If you experience damage to your home:
1) Do photograph the damage SAFELY, from the ground (no, we don't care how many times you've been up on your roof), and *ONLY* after the danger has passed.
2) Don't immediately file an insurance claim! There are exceptions of course, such a tree falling on the home - but not all damage merits an insurance claim.
3) Do contact a local company (Bonded & Insured) to come to your home, evaluate the damage, and give an honest opinion to the extent of the damage. Sometimes, it really is as simple as reattaching a piece of siding or pulling a shingle from the bundle in your garage!
.. and to balance the doom and gloom: We anticipate the Trash Can Rating 🗑️ to be overall between a 4/5, with a few overachievers trying for that 6.

🎶🎤 We got 99 problems but Natural Slate ain't one 💪

Thrilled to present a project months in the making on the shores of Lake Erie! Natural slate installed on top of a 3 tab asphalt shingle installed on top of wood shake, stripped down to start from the bottom and finish looking oh-so-nice. Composite Slate wasn't an option for this client, and we were excited to let our guys show off their skills - all copper flashings were fashioned on site, and every piece of slate was hand placed, cut as needed, and fastened with copper nails. This roof was a labor of love through and through.

Natural Quarried Slate with Copper Flashings kept the classic look and feel of the home intact but gave quite the update and a nice polished finish to an already stunning home. This is a fully self ventilating roof system with specialty drip edge & gutter apron, and now that there aren't 2 layers underneath things can breathe as they should!

This roof kicked off with some wind, and then wrapped up with some too...

Wind damage had this home in need, and the date was set for a day that was supposed to be a "little breezy" but kicked up to "high wind advisory" in the middle of tear off. Needless to say, if the noise didn't announce the presence of a new roof going on - the old materials taking a trip into the neighbors' yards instead of onto our tarp system DEFINITELY alerted the neighborhood 🤦‍♀️

Huge shout out to our crew lead Ivan for not only being sure things were safely buttoned up until the gusts had passed, but also knocking on neighbors doors to grab any debris that took a detour on the way to the dumpster. Neighbors were very understanding but thankful for the additional cleanup, and we are thankful to have a lead that is sure to take care of the ENTIRE jobsite - even when the jobsite quickly expands 😅

After the little pause, this OC Onyx Black roof went on without a hitch and had the homeowners ready to show off their updated curb appeal just in time for Easter!
