It is with great delight and highest hope that we congratulate Isaac Rose as our chosen recipient of the 2026 Tools of the Trade Scholarship. The decision for this scholarship is heavily leant towards students pursuing work or degrees in The Trades, but is ultimately decided on merits of character, work ethic, and school and community involvement.

He has displayed the qualities that match the vision we have for this scholarship, and it is with great pride and prayer that we are happy to invest in his future, as well as the future of Trades in our local communities.

Congratulations, Isaac, on all that you have accomplished and all that is to come; we pray for safety, guidance, and blessings in all your future endeavors!

Recently, the team at Handy Danding Construction and Hoskins Construction had the opportunity to attend a Schluter-Systems Innovation Workshop, a two-day, hands-on training designed specifically for building and construction professionals. The workshop blended classroom instruction, live demonstrations, and hands-on practice to deepen our understanding of Schluter products and proven installation methods.

They focused on:
✔️ Shower applications – moisture management, waterproofing, and building long-lasting tiled showers using the Schluter-Shower System
✔️ Floor applications – uncoupling principles for crack-free tile floors, including the DITRA family of membranes, thin-sets, and primers
✔️ Profiles – how to overcome tile challenges, where to use profiles, and choosing the right options
✔️ Tools & resources – marketing materials and e-tools to better serve our customers

Trainings like this help us stay up to date on innovative products and proper installation techniques so we can continue delivering beautiful, durable, and functional tile work you can trust. Plus, it was a great chance to connect with other professionals and share best practices in the industry.
