We are so excited to announce the newest member of our team!! Meet our new "Branch Manager" and "Community Outreach Specialist" Quinn!!!! At 5 months old, she doesn't have a lot of field time, but what she lacks in experience, she makes up for with enthusiasm and loyalty. We look forward to her contributions for many years to come!

To help residents manage storm-related debris, the Jefferson County SLASH Program will offer two free public drop-off days for fallen branches and downed trees resulting from the wind storms this March.

Bring your woody slash materials to the Tincup Ridge Slash Yard (101 Rooney Rd. Golden, CO 80401) on Friday, April 10, and Saturday, April 11, from 9:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

These drop-offs are intended for storm-related woody debris only, specifically fallen or downed branches. Private companies and contractors are not authorized to dispose of material at any of our locations.

ATTENTION Neighbors who have burned slash piles this month. Please check the burned piles to make sure they aren't re-igniting. Our crews (and Clear Creek Road & Bridge) responded to a rekindled from a 2-day old burn pile this morning.

Check the ash and the dirt under the ash with your hand. If there is any heat, it's NOT out.

Checking for heat is one small step that can prevent a fire from starting.
