What Do All These Lines Mean?
Concrete may look solid from the surface, but there can be a lot happening below it.
Using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), CSI can help identify the location and pattern of embedded reinforcement and other subsurface anomalies within concrete.
On this project, the different colored markings represent findings detected at different depths within the slab, helping create a clearer picture of how the concrete is constructed.
Why does this matter?
🔹 Helps contractors plan proposed cutting and coring locations
🔹 Provides information about reinforcement patterns within the slab
🔹 Helps identify potential conflicts before intrusive work begins
🔹 Gives the project team valuable subsurface information without damaging the concrete
You can’t see what’s inside concrete from the surface. GPR helps you look below it.
