I hope everyone is having a great summer! I unfortunately get a few of these calls where a customer used someone who didn’t know what they were doing and messed up a job of brand new flooring! This customer used a main contractor person to remodel a house who then bid out the jobs. The flooring installers did a nice job laying the floor but failed to acclimate the flooring before install to house temp. Customer said it was a cold winter morning day of install. Flooring was in cold garage, brought in and installed without allowing flooring to acclimate to indoor temp of house…the next huge mistake the guys made was cutting pieces clear up to wall. All good flooring installers know to cut and plan for expansion esp in our wild temp swings and levels of humidity in Okla. This was a three thousand square foot home, when I came to look at job, the flooring had buckled up 5 inches in spots. Owner was scared it couldn’t be fixed. I had to remove all base boards and was able to make proper cuts needed. I was able to repair the flooring without taking up flooring and starting over, which would have cost her for a whole new installation, she only had to replace minimal flooring as well. The point is you spend a lot of money folks for your floors. Do some research on who you use to install. Cheaper isn’t always better!!! Use an installer who has the experience to lay your floors correctly, so you can get many years of enjoyment out of them!!! When your ready to do new flooring give me a call! My estimates are free and backed with 40 years of experience in the flooring industry. I am local and insured and will be here for you after the job is finished! I do tons of the very popular vinyl wood plank, wood, laminate, tile, carpet and repairs. Call me and have it done right the first time! I am self-employed and can lay the flooring no matter what place you purchase flooring from! If you use a local flooring store I will pick it up from that store for free. 580-554-1820. Thanks!
