A little hands-on training in action!

Kaden was on the job pulling and replacing a submersible well pump for a customer who was completely out of water.

With an emergency call like this, getting water restored quickly is important, but so is making sure the job is done safely and correctly. Kaden followed all of Alcorn Pump's standard operating procedures from start to finish!

Enumclaw is heading into its 4th straight year of drought, and if you're on a private well, it's worth paying attention to what your water system is telling you.

Drought doesn't automatically mean your well is going to run dry, but prolonged dry conditions can put additional stress on groundwater supplies and your well system.

Keep an eye out for changes like:
-Lower water pressure
-Reduced flow
-Longer recovery times
-Changes in water quality
-Sediment or cloudiness
-A pump that's running more often than usual

And most importantly: don't wait until you have no water to investigate a problem.

With 5+ years of industry experience, Nick brings plenty of hands-on knowledge to his role as a Pump Technician at Alcorn.

His favorite part of the job? Problem solving and working with his hands... which is pretty fitting for the work we do!

Outside of work, Nick enjoys motorcycles, fishing, hunting and just about anything that gets him outdoors. He’s also a serious food guy, with a particular talent for smoking cheese and making things like sausage and bacon. 😎

And one fun fact we have to mention: Nick and his wife have been married for 24 years!

A little maintenance now can save you a much bigger headache later, and before fall turns into winter, it’s a good time to have your well and water system checked to make sure everything is working the way it should.

Five years ago, we had the chance to serve this customer’s water system. At the end of that visit, she received a $50-off coupon from Alcorn.

And then… she held onto it.

For five years.

Fast forward to today, and when it was time for us to come back out and serve her again, she showed up with that same coupon in hand!

But the best part of this story isn’t really the $50. It’s getting to see a customer again five years after that first service call and know that she remembered us, kept the coupon, and trusted us to come back and take care of her water system again.

Over time, pressure tank settings can get out of adjustment, which can lead to:
