Brendan Zeiset Landscaper This page is to show everyone the work that I do on a weekly, or monthly, basis. Almost every project that I have done, or am doing, can be found here.

This page is about showing people what my business is about. I want people to see the quality and attention to detail that I put into each and every job and I want them to know that I do my work with honor and integrity. When people hire me to do work for them they are paying for my good attitude, clear communication, and dependability. I work with all of my costumers to make sure that they get ex

actly what they want. Because it is important to me that people get what they pay for, and have an enjoyable experience getting it.

So, here is a walkway that I pulled up and re-set completely. I also raised it about 10 inches to make it so that there was no step going onto the front porch. Sadly, I forgot to take before photos. But basically all of the slate was removed and set to the side in the position they were in, the bushes along the windows in front of the house were replanted, I made a stone base for the patio, I re-set the slate better than it was before, I brought in 4 scoops of top soil, planted sod in the entire front yard, and re-made the flower beds around the walkway.

Here are a few of the larger retaining walls that I have done over the last two years. Both of these are on 3rd Street in Akron.

THIS IS A FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD LANDSCAPER TIP OF THE DAY!!!
Just in case any of you ever see a pile of clear jelly blobs sitting in a flower bed like this. I wanted to let you all know that this rare sighting is a Soil Moist mound. When dry, it looks like a pile of large granulated sugar, but when wet it looks like this. Every so often a poor soul of a landscaper tips his Soil Moist container over while installing plants and this is what happens after water/rain is applied. And yes, sometimes i am that poor soul.
TIP: A little bit of Soil Moist goes a long way. Yes, there is such a thing as too much of a good thing especially when it comes to a water-storing polymer that expands to over 50% of its size. If you want to know what I mean, just dump a small pile of this in the bottom of a hole and put a plant on top of it. It will be sure to push it out of the ground and leave the poor plant pleading for soil retention. My suggestion is that when planting vegetation using Soil Moist (which is a great idea to help the plant stay moisturized) always follow the directions, on the back of the container, as to how much should be used in regards to the size of your plant. Usually digging the hole and LIGHTLY sprinkling the hole and soil that will be used to back fill in around the plant is all that is needed.

Here is some work that I had done earlier this spring. I got this work because of the car wash that I ran last spring to raise money for a Kenya trip I was taking. This gentlemen stopped in and had his car washed and was talking to me about what I did. When I said I had my own landscaping business he was interested and I gave him my phone number. Now, he has new boarders installed around this giant bed in the back, a new retaining wall in the front, new grass planted in a few places, and fresh mulch everywhere! More pics will be on the way! I wanted the new grass to sprout before the were posted. Stay tuned!

Well, the front entrance at Oasis Fellowship, on the square in Akron, is finally looking up to s***f. A lot of the Oasis men helped with removing the rotted landscape timbers and the crazy looking ground cover. Then I ordered the wall materials and installed them last fall. It took a lot of work to get rid of that ground cover, but I was finally able to get some plants in there and mulch it. Grow plants grow!

Thank you everyone for checking out my Landscaping page! I appreciate all the likes and enthusiasm! Please help me get the word out to people that may be interested in any sort of installation that they may need done. I have a wide range of skills, and years of experience, but if I feel that the job is not for me I know of many other small business owners that are dependable that I can refer them to.

These are jobs that take a small amount of time and are fairly inexpensive to do.

I was at Pat and Gary Greens' house doing some pressure washing and mulching. I had trimmed the tree and bushes there a few weeks ago, and now their house looks ready to be put on the market.
Pressure washing is a very inexpensive yet effective way to make your property look better. Everything pops and there is a lot more color and contrast.
