🌳🍁 Discover the Crimson King Maple! 🍁🌳

Hey tree lovers! 🌿 David Anderson from Mayer Tree Service here, sharing my thoughts on the stunning Crimson King Maple! 😍

This beauty was banned in Massachusetts as an invasive species, but oh, what a sight to behold! Here's why I admire this majestic tree:

- **Perfect Size:** Not too big! Reaches about 40-50 feet in height and 30 feet wide. Ideal for medium-sized yards!
- **Vibrant Foliage:** Its distinct maroon leaves set it apart from the typical green. 🌈
- **Chill Personality:** It's not as dominating or aggressive as its cousin, the Norway Maple.
- **Low Maintenance:** Offers beautiful fall colors without much hassle. 🍂

I wish this shade-providing tree could make a comeback, bringing cool vibes and beauty to our landscapes. 🌞

🌿SPRING PLANT HEALTH CARE TIPS🌱
🚿Mulch Flower Beds & Gardens🚰
Mulching provides your plants with many benefits. It promotes organic matter development, helps retain soil moisture, and prevents soil compaction. In fact, laying mulch around your spring plants is the best thing you can do to promote their health.
On the other hand, if a mulch is laid incorrectly, it can damage your plants. So, how do you apply mulch?
Lay mulch about 2-4 inches (depth) around the plant. But don’t pile the mulch against the plant’s trunk. Instead, keep it several inches away from the trunk. Also, don’t use fresh woods chips to mulch young plants – they have high acidity levels.

🌲SPRING TREE CARE TIPS🌳
🍂Edge Planting Beds🍁
Planting beds are great for young plants to flourish and ensure you get healthy trees. However, when unwanted plants invade your planting beds, it becomes stressful for your young trees as they compete for nutrients. The solution to this is edging your planting beds.
Edging creates a border around your planting bed to keep away unwanted plants from taking over and destroying your trees. You can use metal, concrete, or plastic to edge your planting bed.
Early spring is perfect for planting bed edging. During this time, the garden is not in full bloom, meaning you won't destroy the trees along the edges of your planting bed.

A day to be grateful for all we have, especially our freedom.

We want to thank all who gave their lives to defend our country.

🌿SPRING PLANT HEALTH CARE TIPS🌱
🚿Get a Soil Test🚰
Your plants’ soil is the foundation of their health. So, you should start with your plants’ soil health when looking to improve the plant’s health. Nutritious soil keeps pests and diseases away and forms the foundation for your landscape and turf plants to survive.
It’s essential to analyze the health of your soil before starting any plant health care treatment. That is, determine whether your soil is acid or alkaline. Generally, knowing your soil’s condition is key to creating a good program to follow in Spring.
You may hire a professional to test your soil.
