PACKAGE UNIT SERVICE! ❄️🔥

Here’s one we don’t come across every day!

This customer asked us to fully service and tune up the cooling side of their package unit, with plans to have us return in the fall to tune up the heating side.

Package units aren’t something we see too often in this area. At this particular condo complex, some units have package systems, while others have traditional attic furnaces with A/C coils.

During the service, we found the outdoor coil was heavily restricted and needed a thorough cleaning. After cleaning the coil and completing the cooling tune-up, we saw the liquid-line pressure drop significantly and the system operate much more efficiently.

A clean coil allows the system to breathe properly, reject heat more effectively, and reduce unnecessary strain on the compressor — helping improve efficiency and potentially extend the life of the equipment.

Another heating upgrade completed by DJ Russo Services!

This client had an older gas-fired boiler and gas water heater, both over 20 years old. During the past winter, they experienced several failures that required repairs to keep the systems operating. Although we were able to get everything running properly, the homeowner decided it was time to upgrade rather than continue investing in aging equipment.

We replaced both units with a new high-efficiency wall-hung combi boiler, which provides both home heating and domestic hot water from one system.

By eliminating the old boiler and separate tank-style water heater, the homeowner now has:

Another successful installation completed by DJ Russo Heating & Cooling!

Our customer owns a two-family home that previously had no air conditioning in the main living area or the basement. They wanted year-round comfort throughout the entire home, so we designed and installed a 5-zone ductless mini-split system.

This installation included:
• 3 Mitsubishi indoor units for the main living spaces
• 2 Samsung economy-series indoor units for the basement
• Surge protectors installed on every system for added electrical protection
• Outdoor condensers strategically installed in a protected location to shield them from the elements, allowing the Mitsubishi equipment to be safely ground-mounted.

Another successful installation completed by DJ Russo!

Our team recently replaced two aging 3-ton cooling systems for a homeowner whose original 29-year-old equipment failed during the recent heat wave. As the systems began failing one at a time, the homeowner decided that investing in repeated repairs was no longer the best long-term solution.

After discussing their options, they chose two new American Standard air conditioning systems, along with a new First Company hydro-coil to match their existing heating system. The installation is now complete, and both the first and second floors are cooling efficiently and operating as designed.

Another whole-house generator installed and ready to go!

This was definitely a tough one. We had to trench nearly 100 feet from the transfer switch to the generator, plus another 30 feet from the propane tank to the generator. We even had to bring out the Kubota to get this job done!

After a lot of hard work, this customer can now have peace of mind knowing their home is prepared for the upcoming storms and unexpected power outages.
