💦 Another Estrella Mountain Ranch Pool Gets an Upgrade!

Another ABC Pool Service customer in Estrella Mountain Ranch just upgraded from an older single-speed pool pump to the new Pentair IntelliFlo3 Variable Speed & Flow Pool Pump — and the technology in these pumps is incredible.

Instead of simply turning a pump ON and running it at full speed like an old single-speed pump, we can actually monitor flow and see how many gallons per minute the pool’s plumbing system is moving. That allows our equipment technicians to dial in the pump specifically for that pool.

The result? This customer can run her pool pump LONGER while using roughly HALF the electricity her old single-speed pump was using. 🤯

And this brings up something we hear every summer in Goodyear…

“My electric bill went way up. Is my pool pump running too much?”

The math doesn’t lie.

At ABC Pool Service, we carefully program our variable-speed pool pumps to balance two things: keeping your pool clean, healthy and properly circulated while also keeping energy consumption as economical as possible.

In fact, many of our pool pump schedules stay relatively consistent throughout the year. What changes dramatically during an Arizona summer is how hard your air-conditioning system has to work when temperatures climb.

Sometimes a picture really is worth a thousand words. 👀

These two photos are from the SAME pool.

The reason we’re posting this? We were told there “wasn’t much value” in our weekly pool service.

We respectfully beg to differ.

For nearly two years, our team showed up EVERY SINGLE WEEK. We kept the pool clean, maintained the water chemistry, provided the chemicals, monitored the equipment, and made sure the pool was clean, safe, and ready to swim in.

No storing a bunch of pool chemicals at your house.
No testing water.
No brushing.
No cleaning baskets.
No wondering if someone is going to show up.

We just showed up and did our job. Week after week after week.

And here’s something the pictures don’t show: there were times this account fell several MONTHS behind on payments. Instead of immediately stopping service, we continued showing up and worked with the customer because we try to treat people the way we would want to be treated.

Now, after canceling service while again being two months behind, we’re told there wasn’t enough “value” in our service.

We’ll let the before-and-after photos speak for themselves.

Maybe the monsoon season has tested our patience a little 😂, but there absolutely IS value in hiring a dependable, licensed, bonded, and insured pool company that shows up every week, does what it says it’s going to do, supplies the chemicals, maintains your pool, and even gives you some grace when you’re behind on your bill.

If the electric company kept the lights on for months without being paid, we’d probably call that pretty good service too. 😂

We appreciate our customers tremendously, but we also appreciate our TEAM and the work they put in every single week. When they do a great job, we’re going to stand behind them.

There’s a difference between getting the job done and getting the job done right. 💪

When we arrived at this equipment pad, the previous filter had literally been balanced on rocks. 😳 Not only was it uneven, but it wasn’t properly supported either.

We removed the old setup, installed a brand-new equipment pad, made sure everything was level and properly supported, and installed the new filter the way it should have been from the start.

Will the pool owner notice the difference every time they walk outside? Maybe not. But details like this matter. Proper installation helps protect your equipment, improves reliability, and gives you confidence that your investment was done the right way—not just the easy way.

We treat every pool as if it were our own, because shortcuts today often become expensive repairs tomorrow.

18 hours later… 🤯💦

Now this is why we love what we do!

Yesterday we shared a pool that had seen better days. We replaced the old equipment with a brand-new Pentair IntelliFlo3 variable-speed pump, installed a new Pentair cartridge filter on a properly leveled equipment pad (instead of balancing it on rocks 😅), and then got to work on bringing the pool itself back to life.

Just 18 hours later, look at the difference! 👀

A green pool doesn’t become crystal clear by accident. It takes the right equipment, proper water chemistry, patience, and technicians who know what they’re doing. We’re excited to continue caring for this pool and can’t wait to show you what it looks like after a few more days of TLC.

Sometimes an upgrade isn’t just about replacing broken equipment—it’s about making your pool better than it was before.

This customer’s single-speed pump finally called it quits, so instead of replacing it with the same thing, they upgraded to a variable-speed pump. What a difference!

✅ Much quieter operation
✅ Significantly more energy efficient
✅ Better water circulation
✅ Designed to save money on electricity over time

It’s one of those upgrades that you’ll notice every single day—not because it’s louder, but because it’s so much quieter.

🚨 Most people think a broken pool cleaning system just means a dirty pool… but that’s only half the story.

This customer’s Caretaker in-floor cleaning system stopped working, so today we replaced it. 👨‍🔧💦

Here’s what many pool owners don’t realize…

An in-floor cleaning system does much more than push dirt toward the drain. It also helps circulate water throughout the entire pool. That constant movement helps distribute chemicals evenly, reduce stagnant areas, and keep your pool healthier—especially during Arizona’s monsoon season when dust storms dump an incredible amount of debris into the water.

So yes, a broken cleaning system means more dirt on the bottom…

But it can also mean poorer circulation, making it harder to keep your water balanced and crystal clear.

If your in-floor system has stopped rotating, certain cleaning heads aren’t popping up, or it just doesn’t seem to be cleaning like it used to, don’t ignore it. Catching the problem early can save you time, frustration, and potentially much bigger repairs down the road.
