We never imagined we'd have to write a post like this.
For months, we've poured our hearts into planning this year's Clays for Courage Clay Shoot. Every sponsor, every volunteer, every raffle item, every detail has been built around one goal: supporting veterans and the service dogs that change lives.
To everyone who has already stepped up—our sponsors, volunteers, donors, and those cheering us on from the sidelines—thank you. Your belief in this mission means more than you'll ever know.
But today, we need to be honest.
Right now, we simply don't have enough team registrations to make this event possible.
If we don't have enough teams signed up by Friday, July 24, we'll have to make the incredibly difficult decision to cancel this year's event.
That isn't just disappointing because it's an event on the calendar. It's heartbreaking because Clays for Courage has become a day where a community comes together for something bigger than ourselves. It's a day filled with laughter, fellowship, stories, remembrance, and hope. Every team that registers helps us continue building opportunities for veterans and the service dogs that walk beside them.
If you've been thinking about putting together a team, this is the time.
If you can't attend, would you consider sharing this post? Tag a business. Invite friends. Reach out to your coworkers, hunting buddies, church, or local organization. Sometimes one share is all it takes to reach the people who were meant to be there.
We're not giving up yet.
We still believe in this mission. We still believe in this community. And we're holding onto hope that together, we can make this event happen.
