My husband and I started Electric Cattle Company 28 years ago in 1990. We purchased several purebred Texas Longhorn cows from Ed Revey. He had brought them to Kansas from New Mexico. Their bloodline included: Texas Ranger, Bale Jumper, Dbl Tuff Special Edition, Texas Toro, Jet Jockey, Calico Gal and the old Peeler bloodline. I started working with cattle when I was 5 years old, with my dad, helping him herd and sort his herd of cattle. I come from several generations of cattle ranchers on both sides of my family. My granddad, L.C. Curtis, was a rancher in SE Oklahoma. My dad started his own herd in the 1950s.
