Sometimes a roof has a small detail that can turn into a big problem if it’s handled the wrong way.

On this home, the edge of the roof was built in a way that could have caused water to back up instead of draining off properly.

The expensive fix would have meant cutting into the wood and messing with the gutters.

So we found a better way.

Our crew made a custom solution that kept the water moving the right direction without adding a bunch of unnecessary work or cost for the homeowner.

That’s what a good roof estimate should include:

Not just a price.
A real plan to protect your home.

A roof replacement has a lot of moving parts.

Tear-off. Cleanup. Decking. Flashing. Venting. Underlayment. Shingles. Details most homeowners will never see, but every one of them matters.

That is why the crew matters.

A good roofing crew does more than work hard. They communicate, move with purpose, watch the details, and make sure the next person has what they need to do their job right.

That is how a roof gets built the right way.

Proud of this Buzzline crew. 🐝

When you hear these sounds…

That’s not chaos.
That’s your old roof getting fired.

Saturday roof leak.
Rain clouds rolling in.
Bathroom vent seam giving up.

So Neil got it swapped, sealed, and ready before the next round of Oregon weather showed up.

Not every leak is obvious.

Tiny detail. Big difference.

Permanent roof anchors help protect more than the people working on your roof.

They help protect the roof itself.

Because when someone comes back later to clean gutters, service an electrical mast, replace flashing, or perform maintenance, they need a safe tie-off point.

Without a permanent anchor, that can mean temporary anchors drilled into your new shingles.

Holes. Caulk. Future problems.

That is why we think about the next person on your roof before we ever leave the job.

Built safer.
Built smarter.
Built for what comes next.

Oregon weather has a way of finding the weak spots.

Rain, wind, moss, loose shingles, aging flashing, soft spots, and those little issues you never notice from the driveway can turn into bigger problems fast.

If your roof is getting older or you’re not sure what shape it’s in, Buzzline Roofing can help you get clear answers.

Please don’t let anyone bolt a satellite dish back onto your new roof.

We see this more than you’d think.

A dish mounted with multiple long lag bolts straight through the shingles.

That might seem normal, but it can create future leak points and may void parts of your shingle warranty.

So when we replace a roof, we don’t just put it back where it was.

We carefully remove it, set it aside, and recommend having the provider remount it on the side of the house instead.

Before your roof replacement, ask:

“What happens to my satellite dish?”

The right answer should not be:

“We’ll just bolt it back into the shingles.”

Protect the roof you just paid for.

Corner Officer With A View! 😎

Neil, Buzzline’s owner, spends a lot of his day exactly where you’d want your roofer to be: on the roof, checking the work, and making sure customers are taken care of.

Real communication.
Real jobsite presence.
Real roofing.

That’s the Buzzline way.

Don’t let your roofer hide the problem under another layer.

When we tore off this roof, we found two layers of old felt.

The issue isn’t just the felt itself. The issue is what those extra layers can hide.

High nails.
Uneven plywood.
Low spots.
Decking that needs attention.

A good roof starts with what’s underneath the shingles. If the deck isn’t flat, solid, clean, and ready, the new roof is already starting with a problem.

That’s why we remove the old felt during a roof replacement.

Not because it’s the easiest way.

Because it’s the right way.

Before you hire a roofer, ask them:

“Are you removing the old felt so you can inspect the roof deck?”

That one question can tell you a lot.
