The stone is off and the smarter chimney repair is underway.

We’re reframing it, properly flashing it and finishing it with siding, trim and a custom metal top.

It’ll pass inspection, keep water out and save the homeowner about a third of the cost.

This chimney needed to pass inspection, but the flashing underneath the stone was completely deteriorated.

“Upgraded” doesn’t always mean better for your home.

Smart vent is designed to bring fresh air into the attic when traditional soffit ventilation isn’t available. But here in the Northwest, its fiber mesh can become clogged with moss and dirt.

A new bathroom fan is only helpful if the moist air actually leaves your home.

This one was connected correctly inside the bathroom, but the duct stopped in the attic. Every shower was sending warm, moist air directly underneath the roof, which was already causing discoloration.

We located the duct, installed a proper roof vent, secured everything, and sealed it from the weather.

Now the fan blows moisture outside, where it belongs.

It’s a small detail that can prevent much bigger problems with mold, rot, and roof decking down the road.

You don’t really know what’s underneath your roof until the old one comes off.

On this manufactured home, removing the heavily stapled decking exposed a damaged truss that could no longer do its job. It would have been easy to cover it back up and keep moving. That’s not how we work.

We reinforced the truss from both sides, restored its strength, and made sure the structure was right before installing the new roof.

Satellite reports are great... until they pull the wrong space number in a manufactured home park. 🛰️⚠️

We do about 10 to 15 manufactured homes a year at Buzzline, and we always run an EagleView. But here is the catch: in a crowded park, satellite reports can easily mistake one home for another.

On this job, the report looked 90% identical, but we were actually four squares bigger than what was on paper. If your sales reps don’t double-check with actual on-site measurements, you are leaving serious money on the table.

Technology helps, but boots on the ground win every time.

“The first order of business: the roof must be flat.” 📏🐝

Neil is back in the attic showing you why your roof might look a little “bumpy.” It all comes down to how those old shake roof slats were handled during the conversion to shingles.

If the plywood doesn’t land on a slat, it’s not secure. Period.

Watch as we break down the process of chalking, cutting, and re-stripping the deck to get it back to manufacturer standards. It looks weird mid-process, but the final result is a roof that’s rock solid and ready for shingles.
