Responsibilities of the Mainline Excavator Operator Include:

- Efficiently and accurately digging trenches for the installation of water, storm, and sanitary mainlines and services
- Lifting and setting pipe using machinery
- Safely lifting and setting trench boxes
- Bulk excavation and truck loading
- Completing all tasks safely
- Communicating with the foreman and crew

Requirements:

- Must have at least 2 years experience operating for water, storm, and/or sanitary sewer projects
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Experience with trench boxes and shoring systems.
- Must be able to reliably commute to work during the work week

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Assembling, connecting, and constructing pipe systems for storm, sanitation sewers, and water mains
- Setting and maintaining grade
- Laying pipe in various ground conditions and depths
- Assembling valves
- Installing structures for storm, water, and sewer

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Must have at least 2 years of minimum experience.
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Experience with trench boxes and shoring systems.
- Experience setting up and operating pipe lasers.
- Experience assembling ductile iron pipe, fittings, valves.
- Experience assembling PVC pipe.
- Experience installing sanitary sewer, water mains, and gravity storm line.
