The U.S. House of Reps recently passed two HVAC bills: the Homeowner Energy Freedom Act (H.R. 4758) and the Home Appliance Protection and Affordability Act (H.R. 4626).

Both still need Senate approval, but if they get signed into law:
• Low-income homeowners could lose up to $14K in heat pump rebates
• Contractors could lose $200M in training funds
• The Department of Energy's ability to tighten efficiency standards would be limited
