Just another attic that has been torn to shreds from roof rats chewing duct work, plumbing, and ruining insulation. Caused over $15,000 worth of damage due to removal and replacement of duct work, plumbing, electrical, insulation and remediation of rodents.

The left picture is of today when the customer took a picture due to the squirrels chewing, the picture at the right is of that same squirrel chewing the electrical last night while I was there. You can match everything in that section via the picture to verify same area. It only took less than 24 hours for the squirrel to chew a decent hole into the roof decking. You don’t get constant 5 star reviews by being unethical and dishonest. But, as long as I do my job and show you the problems at hand, give you an honest quote, and fix your issue. I can sleep good at night knowing I’m doing the right thing. Here we have a home in Florida, outside is in the 80’s -90’s your roof is burning at 143 degrees. In the attic the roof decking is burning at 127 degrees. With 1 piece of radiant barrier we see a 50 degree split from 127 degrees to 76 degrees. Your attic takes up most of the heat in your home, the whole reason why you have insulation in your attic is to decrease the heat gain from your attic, to insulation, to ceiling, to thermostat. If your attic is cooler, your home is cooler.

By the way, this also helps your A/C not only due to the attic being cooler and your A/C running less. But, the duct work will be cooler which means it’s not losing cold air due to high temps in attic penetrating the duct work.

We walked into a roof rat infestation. Unfortunately they’ve chewed too much duct work and our customer had no choice but to remove and replace the duct as they were living in it ($6000-$9000) is what she was quoted by the A/C company. Once the seal up, trapping, and sanitization was done by us she is now able to, as the rodents would’ve chewed it all over again.
The king ridge was chewed and they were able to enter through those areas as well as many others.

What you see below is common issues I find in homes and attics. The soffit being pushed up is unfortunately due to rodents. Rats and squirrels are too small to push it up this much so they usually just slide ride in.

The dryer vent hose that you’re seeing that isn’t attatched, the J vent on the roof clogged with lint due to another company adding wire mesh to seal it, and the lint I had to remove, because it’s important as it pertains to your health. Is the #1 fire hazard in America.

The other pictures are self explanatory, rodents in attic, snake skin found in attic because they’re following the rodents, the chewed plumbing, roof decking, electrical, duct work etc..
