Cogan's Construction LLC I am a second generation general contractor. Being that I have been around construction all my life, I know how important good quality work is.

I am very conscientious about my work and every job is done as if it is for my own home. I am very fussy and no short cuts are taken. My reputation is very important to me. Honesty is always given. I have excellent relationships with all my customers and I am recommended by them as well. I go over all plans with owners before starting a job to make sure everything will be done to their satisfactio

This is a work in progress...

We started this project as a full kitchen remodel. We knew there might be some damaged wood that we would need to replace, but didn't expect to encounter as much damage as we did. Once we removed the subfloor, we found the old beams holding up the floor joist were completely gone. After discussing some options with the homeowners, they decided to move forward with fixing up the old house. The original part of the house was built in 1875 and used as a store and post office. They wanted to keep some of the old history of the house instead of just fully demolishing it. They love old homes and the history that goes along with them. So, we contacted Miller's house moving to lift/support part of the house roof so we could remove the walls, floor system, and excavate for a new foundation under half of the house. Of course through all of this work we had rain, lots of rain. This caused a mess and made an indoor swimming pool inside the house (so to speak). Once we were finally able to get enough dry time to get the new crawl space finished, we are able to start building the new floor and walls to set the house back down.

Calling all green thumbs, this greenhouse is speaking to you. The exterior sides are weather and insect resistant hemlock. The interior has a drain for water and lots shelving. It sits on top of a concrete pad that we poured earlier this year. (See previous post)

Tight spaces didn't limit the eye candy or the custom features! We had a 12ft square area that needed to include 2 full bathrooms, a pantry, and a staircase. The bathrooms feature Onyx shower walls, custom built vanities (by Chamberlain Cabinetry), and shiplap walls in the master. The stairs were custom built and they feature a pocket baby gate (our exclusive design).

We built an outdoor living space that gives these homeowners the ability to enjoy the outside a bit more. It gives them a break from the sun, heat, and provides shelter in the rain. It also has recessed lights and a fan. There is plenty of natural beauty found in the stone retaining wall/pillars, as well as the hemlock on the cathedral ceiling and house wall.

This homeowner can enjoy the outdoors on his new wrap around deck. He designed it on it on his computer and we made it a reality. The decking is natural hemlock.
