Your gutters might not be the problem.
If they keep filling up faster than expected, even after cleaning, look at the roof surface first.

Debris accumulates on the roof, washes into the valleys, and ends up in the gutters every time it rains.

If the roof isn’t being maintained, the gutters can’t stay clear on their own.

Roof valleys are one of the most overlooked parts of a cleaning job. They carry a high volume of water and pack with debris fast, especially under tree coverage.

Address the source, and the gutters take care of themselves. If it’s been a while since you’ve had your roof cleaned, now’s the perfect time to get it done (before all that debris gets wet!).
Call or message to get on the schedule.

Most roof drainage problems don’t start with a storm. They start with debris that’s been sitting on the roof for a season or two.

Leaves and pine needles accumulate on the surface, work into the valleys, and eventually end up in the gutters.

When the path water needs to take is blocked, whether that’s a clogged valley, a packed gutter, or a downspout that’s not moving water far enough from the foundation, the water goes somewhere else.

And “somewhere else” is usually fascia, siding, or the crawlspace.
Keeping the roof surface clear is the first line of defense for the whole system.

We just published a new blog on how roof drainage problems develop and what to watch for. https://roofworksnorthwest.com/blog/roof-drainage-problems-everett-wa/

If you’ve got trees hanging over your roof, summer is the window to deal with what’s been building up.

Dry debris clears faster.

Moss releases more easily.

And once the surface is clean, you can see the condition of your roof much more easily. Meaning if there are questionable spots that may lead to leaks- you’ll know.
