Please join us in congratulating PJ Bruce, one of our Landscape Team Leaders, on his 3rd anniversary with Southern Landscape Group! 🎉🎊

“PJ brings a variety of talent to the team. He has predominantly helped with mowing and landscape care, but this year has decided he wants to learn more about the construction side of landscape. He has found that his true passion is seeing a design on paper come to life as he builds new landscapes for our clients. We greatly appreciate his willingness to grow in our industry. Thank you for all you do, PJ! Congratulations!!”

Last week, we shared a look at this project in progress, and now we’re excited to reveal the design vision behind it — a grand outdoor living space overlooking a lakefront beach.

Imagine spending the day by the water and gathering around the fire as evening sets in, with every part of the property inviting you to linger a little longer. The design brings together layered stonework, a sunken fire feature, tiered plantings, and landscape lighting that carries the space well past sunset, so time outdoors feels more memorable from morning to night.

Our 3D renderings bring these possibilities into focus, showing how thoughtful design connects the lakefront, gardens, and gathering spaces into one cohesive retreat.

Swipe through to explore the vision, and follow along as we share more of this project’s transformation.

Stay tuned. The training montage is just the beginning. 👀

Imagine ending a day on the water with a crackling fire, good company, and a custom stone patio right outside your door.

We’re bringing that to life at this beautiful Smith Mountain Lake property. Swipe through to see the craftsmanship taking shape:

Tiered fire pit: A custom gathering space for fireside evenings.
Natural stone pathways: Organic textures that complement the landscape.
Stone curbing: Crisp edges defining planting beds and paved areas.
Custom stone steps: Connecting elevations with style and function.
Expansive patio: Outdoor living with the lakefront as the backdrop.

Our hardscape team is setting every piece by hand with precision and skill, and we can’t wait to share more updates!
