Maggie's first day of Kindergarten... and last day of 5th grade. It feels like elementary both flew by and started a lifetime ago! So proud of our sweet girl and the thoughtful, intelligent young lady she is becoming.

5th grade field trip with my girl today to the WW1 Museum! We're so lucky to have this world class museum right here so close to home.

Before the freeze, and after.
Sad and relieved all at once to see most blooms go. Now the moonflowers might not be beautiful, but they sure are adding to our Halloween vibe.

Truth in our yard. Might look messy to some, but I think it is lovely! Plants going to seed, spent blooms, and leaves in the yard equals food for birds, habitat for beneficial insects, and some of the best mulch/ nutrients for the soil. This messy time of year is beautiful, too.🌾🍂🧡

Fall is definitely here! Jack Frost made his first visit over the weekend, but we got lucky up here on the hill and he spared the flowers- for now. The cucumber beetles and powdery mildew haven't been as kind! Up close many of the plants are ragged& weary. Now it's time to admire them as a whole, and maybe not so close up.😉 They deserve a rest after doing their job so beautifully over a long, tough season.
