We have some exciting news to share: Pro Tree has acquired Minnesota Tree Surgeons.

For more than 25 years, Brian Mickelson has built Minnesota Tree Surgeons around strong relationships, quality arbor care, and taking great care of his customers. Those values are a major reason this opportunity felt like such a natural fit.

Wes, Tanner, and Brian have known each other for more than a decade and have worked together and collaborated on projects throughout that time. Over the years, we’ve had the opportunity to see firsthand how Brian operates his company and how seriously he takes the responsibility of caring for his customers.

At Pro Tree, one of our core values is Customer Service First, Always. Brian has built Minnesota Tree Surgeons with that same mindset, and that alignment was one of the most important reasons we decided to bring the two companies together.

We’re incredibly excited to welcome Minnesota Tree Surgeons’ customers to Pro Tree. This acquisition allows us to expand our territory, strengthen our relationships, and provide those customers with access to Pro Tree’s full team and complete range of tree care services.

Most importantly, our commitment remains the same: provide excellent arbor care, communicate clearly, and take great care of the people who trust us with their properties.

🌳 The Pro Tree team is excited to introduce Hannah, our Client Communications Coordinator!
Hannah holds a B.S. in Forest & Natural Resource Management, a B.A. in History, and an Environmental Science, Policy, and Management minor from the University of Minnesota, and she’s currently working on her Master of Urban and Environmental Planning at Arizona State. She brings experience from both the production and sales side of the tree care industry, and she’s already made a huge impact, helping us deliver the white glove, premium service Pro Tree is known for.
Outside the office, you’ll find her at family brunch, deep in a craft project, or hanging with her partner and their giant dog Zagreus.

We’re thrilled to welcome Brock Eastlund to Pro Tree as our Director of Innovation and Impact.
Brock brings 16 years in arboriculture, ISA Certification (MN-4559A), TRAQ qualification, and a graduate credential from the ASCA Consulting Academy. That’s a rare combination.
In this role, he’ll be advancing our plant health care programs, sharpening our tree risk assessment practices, and building the systems that keep our work grounded in the highest industry standards.
Brock operates on a simple principle: careful observation and sound science protect the trees worth keeping — and the people who depend on them.
We’re excited to have him shaping what’s next at Pro Tree. Welcome to the team, Brock.

Meet Harris Hagen, Pro Tree’s new Plant Health Care Manager.
With nearly 20 years in the industry, a B.S. in Forestry, ISA Certified, and MNLA Certified, Harris started his career in AmeriCorps because serving people and caring for the environment isn’t just what he does, it’s who he is.
Harris is a diagnostician at heart. He sees what others miss and brings practical, affordable solutions to the table. But what really drives him is people. He shows up every day with one goal: help the people and trees around him grow and become their best selves.
Honesty, integrity, and genuine care for others. That’s Harris in a nutshell, and that’s exactly the kind of person we want leading our PHC program.

We’re excited to introduce Rick Kreutzmann to the Pro Tree team.
Rick brings 15 years of green industry experience, two degrees in Urban Forestry and Forest Management from UW-Stevens Point, and a decade of focused arboriculture work to his role as a Sales & Consulting Arborist. He’s ISA Certified and the kind of guy who genuinely loves trees — which makes him a perfect fit here.
Rick will be serving clients across our southwest territory, and if you get the chance to meet him on your property, you’re in good hands.
Outside of work, Rick is a family man — he’s at home with his wife Arianna, their daughter, and a new baby on the way this December. We couldn’t be more excited to have him join the team at such a big season of life.
