If I had to choose one word to describe our experience with Phillips Custom Builders building our dream home, it would be “delightful”.
We are retired and were looking to build what we wanted to be our last home, designed to fit our way of living now and in the future. We knew the design we wanted and were concerned that we would not be able to find a builder who would make the effort to understand our dream and what was ultimately important to us. And then we met Jeromy and Tom Phillips. Our plans were a bit different from many, but that did not bother them. They are truly into custom work and focused not on what anyone else wants in a house, but what our vision was.
Communication with them was open and direct. They kept us informed about what was going on at the job site as different phases of construction were finished and others started. Our questions and changes of mind were attended to promptly and pleasantly.
They paid strict attention to all detail. They kept the worksite clean and orderly. And they provided protection for finished work as the building progressed.
Because we had a strict budget that we could not exceed, we were concerned about transparency, knowing where our money was going as bills were paid. The system they laid out for us could not have been more transparent, easy and straightforward. Even now we can show where every penny was spent.
Jeromy and Tom are hardworking, honest, straightforward and enjoyable to work with. They built us exactly what we wanted. We love it. And we could not have asked for a better, more enjoyable relationship.
