Love them collaboration jobs!!

An unnamed local electrical contractor had the unfortunate luck of accidentally grazing a 1/2” pex line with a hole saw today.

Had them excavate the gypcrete from beneath the floor and made the repair.

Worse things have happened.

Customer reported loss of hot water. Found this Taco 006 impeller had disintegrated. Believed to be the original, 24 years ain’t too bad.

Sometimes it’s the little things.

Customer reported heat in the bedroom quit working and they had even swapped the thermostat themselves.

Well, a quick troubleshooting revealed the issue. Customer had replaced their thermostat and not removed the contact isolator from within the thermostat. Customer stated that their wife had installed the thermostat.

Buderus owners, have them anodes checked out. To maintain your lifetime warranty, you’ll need to provide proof of anode maintnance. These folks were 3rd owners and had no warranty.

This particular job required 4 pipe jacks as the mech room was very tight and the tank was in direct path of the doorway.

We did 3 of these tank swaps in 2 days.

When good plans go bad.

Customer called this evening with a doosie. While the wife and kid are out of town for a couple more weeks, dad decided to remove carpet and install laminate flooring.

When pulling up 20+ year old tack strip, a stream of water shot forth from the floor. 😩

Instucted the homeowner to send a drywall screw into the nail hole to slow the leak and begin excavating the gypcrete from around the nail strike while i headed over.

Made quick work of this leak with an Everloc coupling.

Customer attempted to remove their own expansion tank. They overestimated the strength of 1/2” copper and decided not to use 2 wrenches.

Removed an old rear clean out EK-1 for some customers.

In its place a new EK-1 Frontier stackable. New manifolds, and a fresh 5” chimney by Fairbanks Chimney and Stove.
