Award-Winning Project Spotlight: The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine Collaboratorium 🏆🌟

This project included a 4,000 SF building expansion to support the new HJF Collaboratorium, along with a 7,000 SF renovation of existing interior spaces. The work included structural steel, custom façade paneling, full AV integration, new restrooms and reception areas, plus upgraded high-efficiency mechanical and lighting systems—all designed around the Collaboratorium's open ceiling concept.

One of the project's most unique challenges was the building itself. The existing structure is post-tension construction, and the expansion was built atop what had previously been the parking garage roof and terrace. Careful planning and coordination were essential to safely access the site and successfully execute the work.

We are grateful to our project team and partners at Ewing Cole for their thoughtful planning, technical expertise, and strong collaboration in bringing this complex space to life!

After joining Team Patner as a Project Engineer in September 2024, Leah quickly grew into her current role as Assistant Project Manager through dedication, hard work, and a willingness to learn.

With a background in interior architecture and design, she transitioned into construction by embracing every opportunity to grow, ask questions, and take on new challenges.

We're proud to have Leah on and can't wait to see all she accomplishes next!

Award-Winning Project Spotlight: Engenium Group Office Fit-Out 🏆🌟

This 9,500 SF fit-out delivered a striking new office space for Washington, DC-based MEP engineering firm Engenium Group. Located within a historic DC brick-and-mortar warehouse built nearly 100 years ago, the project presented a unique design opportunity—integrating the office directly off the building’s main entry lobby while preserving and enhancing its original character.

Significant structural modifications were required to unify two spaces at different elevations, including the installation of a new commuting stair and a Limited Use Limited Access (LULA) elevator. The transformation involved extensive masonry, structural steel, and finish work to seamlessly blend the spaces into one cohesive, modern workplace.
