This hotel bar island had spent years absorbing everything a busy lobby throws at a surface — spills, glassware, etching, and the slow dulling that comes from thousands of guests passing through. The stone wasn’t damaged beyond saving. It was just tired.
Our team worked it back through a full hone and polish, bringing the surface back to a true reflective finish. In the second photo, look at the stone: those are the lobby’s chandeliers reflecting in it.
No demolition. No replacement. No closing the bar for a week. Just the original stone, restored to what it looked like the day it was installed.

Restore or replace?

With decorative marble like this, the question answers itself. Inlay work of this kind cannot be ordered off a shelf, and a replacement will not match it. Replacing the floor means losing the floor.

It rarely needs replacing. Traffic wear, etching and dull patches sit on the surface of the stone. Diamond honing and polishing takes that surface back to an even finish, and the original material stays in the building.

We schedule this work overnight and on weekends so lobbies stay open while it happens.
