William Leavy has been training in the field of Architecture since he started with mechanical drawing classes in High School. He followed his love of Architecture and enrolled at New York Institute of Technology, School of Architecture and completed his five year Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1994. After practicing in Westchester County for a few short years, William captured a position at on
e of the premier firms in New York City, Brennan Beer Gorman/Brennan Beer Gorman Monk. While at BBG/BBGM William worked on many projects from hotels to corporate office fit outs, including the prestigious Waldorf Astoria, The Plaza and The Chrysler Building. After honing his skills at DiGiorgio Associates (a Boston based firm) with a myriad of project types, he found a new studio with Stuart Narofsky. At N2 Design Group and later Narofsky Architecture, William’s work was based mostly in High End Residential (both individual & multi-family) and Corporate Interior Projects. In early 2006 William joined Zivkovic Connolly Architects PC, further pursuing the high end residential realm in Architecture. While at ZCA he met his colleague Frank Benavides and the partnership was established in 2008. In 2009 William had the opportunity to work on the largest yacht built in America since the 1930’s. The project, Cakewalk, a mega-yacht with a total length of 281’ and a beam just shy of 47’ this beautiful vessel was a crowned jewel for Derecktor Shipyards. William still has a passion for working in the yachting industry and has since completed further residential and commercial projects. Our projects range from Maine and Vermont to the Tri-State area. We are a full service Architectural & Design firm with a broad array of projects specializing in residential homes, apartments, additions, corporate interiors, yachting interiors along with EAP/FSP plans.
