A behind the scenes look at why roofers and other trades end up working together more than people realize. 🏠🔧

This episode gets into tank to tankless water heater conversions specifically, where a roofer almost always has to get involved to properly flash the vent or at minimum swap out the collar. Skip that step and you are looking at a leak risk down the road.
There is also a safety standard worth knowing about. Anything steeper than a 6 on 12 pitch and most crews will not get on that roof. It is not just about preference, it ties directly into insurance and liability. A roof that steep carries real risk, and cutting corners there is not worth it for anyone. ⚠️

Not strictly a roofing topic, but worth the detour. 🏠🧊 On this episode the guys get into a plumbing tip that is easy to overlook once temperatures drop.

Covering your outdoor faucets is not actually what protects your pipes. Letting the water drip on both the hot and cold side is the move that matters. If you only have one handle, set it right in the middle so both sides get some flow.
Dripping will not guarantee your pipes never freeze, but it cuts the risk significantly. And if a line does freeze without bursting, you are just without water until it thaws, which can take a few days.

A simple habit that can save you a real headache. 🔧
