Changing cut patternsโ
Very important!!
Cross cutting or changing mowing patterns each week promotes upright growth and stronger roots, which can lead to a healthier lawn!
In wet conditions like these, or soon to be too hot conditions.. You can do more harm than good by cutting the lawn repeatedly and breaking the โone third of the grass blade at once ruleโ .. but you can mostly always change patterns at the least! Cutting more than a third of the grass height, or keeping the grass too low can promote diseases and give your lawn that depressing brown look!
If youโre a homeowner, and you feel like youโre constantly having to lower your blades to achieve a cleaner cut.. This can be a result of dull blades, a clogged mower deck, or mowing in the same pattern each week.. which is forcing the grass to lay down in one direction, and โpullingโ the grass instead of achieving a clean cut.
The truth is, most people donโt have the time or energy to do that stuff. Who wants to sharpen blades or clean their mower deck, especially on your day off! Save an hour or two of your hard earned free time each week and hire someone reliable for the long term! Put the days of struggling with your lawn behind you!
