Prepping for new construction often means clearing the way, but it doesn't have to mean losing every tree. For this Detroit Lakes project, we removed 10 large trees and 5 medium ones, cut and stacked oak for firewood, and took care to keep three healthy trees safe for the future.

We also pruned overhanging limbs from a neighbor’s property and cleared out shrubs, making sure the area was ready for the next phase. Thoughtful planning helped us protect the trees that matter most while getting the site construction-ready.

Sometimes a property needs a full tune-up to really shine. We tackled a big job in Oxbow that included removing three pine trees, grinding the stumps deep enough for future planting, and hauling away all debris. We also removed an ash tree that couldn't be saved, made space for new grass, and trimmed up all the bushes and trees for a clean, polished look.

Preventative care was part of the plan too, with Emerald Ash Borer treatment for one ash and structural pruning to keep everything healthy. The results speak for themselves—better walking space, strong trees, and a yard that's ready for the next season.

Storms can leave a real mess behind, especially when heavy branches end up where they shouldn’t.

A broken walnut tree branch had split and was hanging over a neighbor’s yard in Fargo, putting fences and nearby property at risk. We carefully climbed in, secured the area, and removed the hazardous limbs without causing extra damage. Protecting the fence took some planning, but safe removal means everyone can breathe easier now.

It’s always good to handle these situations quickly before they become bigger problems.

Sometimes a yard just needs a fresh start. These two mature trees—one on each side of the driveway—had outgrown their spaces and were shading out the grass below.

We safely removed both trees, handled all the debris, and took care of the stumps by grinding them down. After clearing away the stump chips, we backfilled the area with topsoil and finished by seeding new grass.

Now, there’s open space and sunlight where heavy shade and roots used to be. Ready for the next chapter or even some new plantings!
