Black Barn Development | Project Update 🏗️

Our Family Sports & Recreation Barn is really starting to come together!

We’ve been waiting on a few special-order doors and windows, but that hasn’t slowed the progress. The “weathered grey” metal we can install is going up, the ceilings have been spray foamed, the heated floors are in, and the concrete is poured!

This project is going to be something special a true year-round space built for family, sports, recreation, entertaining, and making memories.

A big shoutout to our partner Sycamore Engineering, Inc. Working with their team on this project has been fantastic. First-class organization and great people to work alongside.

Still plenty to come on this one. Stay tuned!

One of the biggest mistakes we see is falling in love with a piece of property before confirming it actually works for the building you want.

Before you buy, make sure you understand:

✅ Zoning – Can you build the home, shop, and layout you want?
✅ Usable Homesite – Will the building, porches, driveway, parking, and shop access actually fit?
✅ Septic & Water – Perc test, bedroom count, well or water availability all matter.
✅ Access & Utilities – Power, internet, driveway access, and construction access can quickly impact your budget.
✅ Building Orientation – Think about views, drainage, outdoor living, shop doors, and how everything works together.

At Black Barn Development, we’d rather help you evaluate these things before you buy the property than discover an expensive problem afterward.
