🚨❄️ **Severe Winter Storm Update – Please Read** ❄️🚨
A severe winter storm is currently impacting our area, and a **State of Emergency has been issued by the Governor**. Road conditions are hazardous and, in many areas, not drivable.
We kindly ask for your patience and understanding.
At A-General Plumbing and Sewer Service, our phones remain on 24/7, and we will work to accommodate our customers as conditions allow. However, we cannot and will not sacrifice the safety of our employees to reach a call when roads are unsafe. As soon as travel conditions improve, our crews will be dispatched as quickly as possible.
Your safety is just as important, so please take a few minutes to protect your home during this storm:
🧊 Preventing Frozen Pipes:
• Let faucets drip slightly to keep water moving
• Open cabinet doors under sinks to allow warm air to circulate
• Keep your thermostat set consistently (even overnight)
• Insulate exposed pipes if possible
• If a pipe freezes, shut off the main water supply immediately
❄️ Clear Snow Around:
• Gas meters
• Dryer vents
• Furnace exhaust pipes
• Outdoor exhaust outlets
Blocked vents can cause dangerous carbon monoxide buildup inside your home. If you smell gas or suspect a CO issue, call 911 immediately.
We are proud to be locally owned and operated, and we truly appreciate the continued support of our community. Stay safe, stay warm, and remember — we’re just a phone call away at 732-566-5000.
Thank you for your patience during this storm. Stay safe, everyone! 💙
