In the 1940's, Andrew J. Foss started a precast concrete company in Farmington, NH - later to be purchased by John Cardinal at 19 years old.

That company is still here. Still family owned. Still run by the people who grew up in it.

Not much has changed about why we do what we do — and we think that's pretty cool!

In the precast industry, manufacturer identification on a product is a mark of accountability. It means the company that made it is willing to put their name on it permanently — because precast concrete products are tested, certified, and required to meet specific standards before they ever leave the facility.

In New Hampshire, every precast concrete septic tank must be certified by its manufacturer as meeting ASTM C1227 standards. That stamp is proof of who certified it and where it came from — which matters a lot when the product is going in the ground for 50 years.
