Founded in February 1998 by Mark Southall who was committed to establishing an electrical contracting business that valued integrity, quality workmanship, and timely delivery. Using those guidelines, CEC has grown to its present size and provides opportunities within the Farmville area and surrounding counties for employment and apprenticeship programs. Our jobs have taken us to North Carolina and

Maryland and companies with headquarters as far away as Oregon have contracted jobs with us. We have long standing working relationships with several local contractors as well.

🏀 A New Chapter for Kirby Fieldhouse! 🐯

We’re excited to share a look inside the newly renovated Kirby Fieldhouse at Hampden-Sydney College!

Creative Electrical Company has been working hard on this project since early 2025, and we’re excited to be nearing the finish line on our part of the project. It has been incredible to watch this space transform into a modern, first-class facility for Hampden-Sydney’s student-athletes and campus community.

The renovated Fieldhouse is home to the TigerRec Fitness Center, which will reopen on August 24, along with a number of exciting new and improved spaces, including:

🏀 Basketball courts
🏆 A Hall of Fame
⛳ A brand-new golf simulator
🏋️ TigerRec Fitness Center
🏥 Athletic training clinic
🎓 Coaches’ offices
🎾 Squash courts
🏆 A beautiful display showcasing ODAC Championship trophies and DIII NCAA trophies

From the new facilities to the historic
accomplishments on display, this renovation brings together the past, present, and future of Hampden-Sydney Athletics. We’re proud to have played a part in bringing this incredible facility to life and are looking forward to seeing it back in action!
