A heat and air tech obviously stepped In the wrong spot. The finished job picture still has wet paint, but repairs turned out good.

The floor was sad and ugly, so now it's a tolerable table lamp.

I realize it seems this took forever, but we waited over a month for the owner to pick out a gray carpet....lol...anyhow... here are some photos before and after of the remodeled hoarder/waterdamage house.

From the "I can't make this up" file, this is pictures of the big remodel I am doing with the Horder and flood, last night at 1045 a drunk driver crashed thru the fence and into the master bedroom closet area, so, today, we start the second phase of remodeling the same house that we were only half way thru in the first place. This is called "job security".

2 weeks in, and here is progress report. It took 3 - 30 yard dumpsters to hold the stuff left in the building, then all of the damaged sheetrock, doors, trim, and carpet were removed. Next all hard surface framing members that had any mold or mildew were treated to kill any future growth, then a stain blocker was applies to double insure all is safe. now its clean and ready for new sheetrock.

Feb. 1st I was handed the keys on a remodel like nothing i have every done. I have been doing this since i started helping dad in the 8th grade summer breaks. Its the first " hoarder" house. But not only am I tasked with removing all this stuff, you must understand, the person filled it up, then moved in with some friends and stopped coming back ( probably 3 years ago), then a water line in the hall bath started slowly leaking, and then a tree limb knocked a hole in the back bathroom. So for at least a year if not longer, the mountains of stuff have been sitting , and soaking up the water leaks. Yes, i am very confident the building can be saved, it just needs some love. This will be an on going post, stay tuned.
