I was a bit late to the shop today, and was met with almost the entire crew staring at me in disgust. We moved shops today and had more fun that we should have. Stoked for 2021 with this goon squad, we have some super awesome projects coming. Also, New shop pics coming soon.

Framing isn’t too sexy. It’s dirty, heavy and less precision than we’re used to. But the fellas have been crushing this remodel framing the past couple of days. We’re doing a pretty extensive reframing of this stair. Stoked to see how it changes this home!

Rift Customs is looking to grow our team of carpenters. We are looking for very driven individuals that are looking to start their carpentry career. We are in need of someone with an extreme attention to detail, professionalism, and someone that works well in a team setting, as we take company culture extremely seriously. We love teaching people carpentry, but require people that are ready to absorb all they can to become a great carpenter; teachability is a requirement.

This is an opportunity for a full time career working with a great crew, on intriguing projects in the craft of carpentry.

Nathan aka Baby Bags

Nathan came from a mechanicing background without any real experience in construction. But a pretty unmatched problem solving ability.

Nathan has become an incredible carpenter and has been at it less than two years. His attention to detail and ability to work to a solution is rad to watch. He’s also entrusted with maintaining and fixing our tools as things break down and has a pretty solid success rate.

He loves his old Datuns, mountain bikes, and Dirtbike’s.

Born from a line of craftsmen, Jeremiah Harenza learned to worked with with his hands out of joy. Raised by ambition and entrepreneurship, he sought for years to find his niche in the trade world and with that searching came his breadth of experience. Although carpentry will always be his first love, he soon discovered the extent of his passion and thus progressed into heirloom quality renovation. In 2017, Rift Customs was born. Rift has a diverse portfolio ranging from custom carpentry to full home renovation. Its namesake is drawn from a high quality method of processing trees into lumber and such principles are what Rift is built on in both work ethic and business relations. They are fully insured, licensed, and advocating for the significance of beauty and precision in the trades.
